Giveaway - what would you make?

Roll up, roll up - it's giveaway time!

I started this blog in July of last year and have quite enjoyed showing you my photos and chatting about what I've made, what I've been doing in the garden, and life in general. I've been amazed at the amount of people who regularly read it and I want to thank all of my lovely followers with a blog giveaway. Woo hoo!

So, here's what you can win:

A pretty tri-flower brooch.

A cute, crocheted keyring.

And your very own sweet spring birdie.

So what do you have to do to win these gorgeous goodies? Well, there are a few ways:

To get ONE easy entry:
a) Become a follower of this blog.
b) Become a fan on the 'BlissKnits13' fan page on Facebook.
(Current followers and fans will automatically get one entry; that means two if you're both!)

To get a further TWO entries (because comments are extra special!) and for a bit of fun - answer this question:
If you could make ANYTHING for ANYONE, what would you make and who would you give it to?
a) Leave a comment at the end of this blog post.
b) Or leave a comment on the 'BlissKnits13' fan page on Facebook, on the 'Discussions' board.
Be creative - it doesn't have to be a skill you already have; what would you LOVE to make? And who would you give your 'gift' to, a famous person (past or present) or someone you know? I can't wait to see what you all come up with; I know they're going to be some interesting comments!

You can also gain extra entries by mentioning this giveaway in your own blog, Facebook or Twitter (just leave me the link in the comments section so that I can add it to your entry tally).

The winner will be chosen by random selection on Sunday 14th March. I'm happy to post the prize overseas so anyone can join in, wherever you live.

Thanks for all your support everyone. Good luck!

  1. Mentioned on twitter here http://twitter.com/FairlyGirly

Too early for me to think about the question yet!!

  2. Great giveaway - I love the brooch! I started my blog about a year ago now, and agree that it is really nice to look back on everything you post.

Not very imaginative, but something I am actually currently working on is a recipe journal for my mum for mothers day. She has just gotten into cooking and started being a bit more adventurous so I'm putting together a few recipes that she could try (mostly because I want to taste the food myself!!), in a handmade scrapbook type journal, with pages for her to also write her own in too.

Good luck in the giveaway everyone!

  3. i would make a photo collage of my beautiful 4 month old grand-daughter and give it to my son who will soon be going abroad to work for 6 months

  4. Some nice ideas already. Keep them coming!

  5. I have become a fan of your blog and i am also a facebook fan!
I would make a 3 course meal for my husband just to prove that i'm not "Can't Cook Won't Cook!) lol which is his nickname for me ;)

  6. I have also just twittered and share your blog giveaway on facebook ! Toniann x

  7. Hello! I would make my long time best friend a stitchery with just the right words, the perfect words, so that when she reads them she will always remember how much she means to me! Beautiful giveaway, someone will be a lucky bunny! Suzie xxx

  8. This is such a lovely giveway, Sharon - such a lot of time and effort to make such beautiful pieces!

OK, so if I could make anything, I would love to make a large wrought-iron sculpture of an oak tree, and I would give this to the Wildwood Retreat Centre in northern California. I have just finished the leadership programme out there, and the group I was with, called the Oaks, have so many happy memories there. I would love to mark this in a special way.

    Kirsten xx

  9. I already follow you on Twitter, and saw the tweet about this. I just became a fan AND added your Facebook page to my business page on FB.

Let's see - I would make my Mom a gorgeous shawl, because she is knit-worthy and she would appreciate it! Plus, knitting lace is hard for me, so it would be that much more special. :-)

  10. I love all your answers - so many different ideas but all heart felt! There's still plenty of time for some more entries though - giveaway closes on Sunday 14th.

I forgot to mention before - I have more of the brooches and birdies in my Folksy shop, so if the winner would prefer one in another colour I'm happy to swap!

  11. I would love to make Johnny Depp a hat, this would mean that I would have to get up close and personal to check it fit. Also, would have to have weekly check up in case any alterations were needed! :-)) Elissa x
